COURSE OBJECTIVES

The University Course in Technology in Systems Analysis and Development at Faculdade Vale do Cricaré has as its general objective the training of professionals for the automation of information systems in organizations, with a view to meeting the needs of the current job market.


In addition to technological training, the market also requires complementary and humanistic training; the development of specific skills needed by the IT professional, covered by the course defined as:

 

  • Develop information systems using development techniques and methodologies and

  • associated computational tools;

  • Program using programming languages;

  • Integrate information systems through computer networks;

  • Develop web-based information systems;

  • Support the planning and management of the infrastructure needed for information systems;

  • Implement and administer database systems;

  • Implement and manage information systems;

  • Acting in an entrepreneurial way in generating new business and work opportunities;

  • Assist applied research and development (R&D) in information systems.

GRADUATE PROFILE

The course must provide training that enables the professional to solve real world problems, through the construction of computational models and their implementation. It is the course's duty to train professionals in the field of information technology who have a set of skills that include:

 

  • deploy computing systems;

  • analyze and assimilate technical, scientific and administrative systems, transforming them into efficient and effective algorithms capable, in this way, of solving users' day-to-day problems;

  • ability to apply their knowledge independently and innovatively, following the evolution of the sector and contributing to the search for solutions in the different applied areas;

  • humanistic training allowing the understanding of the world and society, business training, a dynamic organizational vision and encouraging group work, developing their communication skills.


The egress Technologist must be able to assume the role of a transforming agent in the market, being able to analyze the computing languages and the communication codes between the user and the machine, being able to undertake or assume management or the organization of a Computer Center and, also, working on specific tasks, such as documentation of systems and preparation of manuals, having as a challenge to provoke changes through the inclusion of new technologies in the solution of problems and providing new types of activities, adding domain of new tools and implementation of systems to improve the working and living conditions; a consistent and critical humanistic view of the impact of their professional performance on society..
