COURSE INFORMATION

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The general objective of the FVC Dentistry course is to offer generalist and humanist training, enabling the Dental Surgeon to work at all levels of health care, based on technical and scientific rigor. To guarantee this objective, FVC has three pillars: teaching, research and extension.

 

Therefore, it is about the construction of a professional profile of the Dental Surgeon capable of working in Dentistry, demonstrating competence, skill and mastery of specific techniques, through an ethical and responsible posture.

GRADUATE PROFILE

COURSE INFORMATION

The Graduate in Dentistry will be endowed with the knowledge required to exercise the following skills and abilities:

I. Promote oral health prevention, protection and rehabilitation actions in the community in partnership with Public and Private entities established in the region.

II. Making the best decision in the treatment, based on scientific studies such as: case studies, targeted research with communities, use of scientific articles, in order to support the most appropriate conduct.

III. Use the tools of verbal and non-verbal communication and their inferences in the profession, relating them to information technologies.

IV. Exercise leadership capacity with future dental professionals, working on the concept of humanization, motivation, teamwork, improving interpersonal skills.

V. Plan, through administrative and management knowledge, their professional actions, whether in the public/private context or as a liberal professional.

SAW. Build the concept of permanent education from internships, extramural activities, participation in interdisciplinary seminars at the institution, scientific initiation and tutoring work, as a starting point for a promising career.
